what did you think of the ending of the season / series? I liked it; some things were just a bit too unreal, but otherwise it was nicely done....

didn't see the ballard thing coming, and yet I did; I didn't see the topher thing coming, and yet I did. but I really didn't see the aplha thing coming, and I thought it was kind of 'oh, we have to make things right with him too...' idea...

well, wave to dollhouse, hopefully season 2 will be released on dvd soon enough...

wave wave

It was to rushed, many things weren't explained... Alpha was under used and Wisky for some reason just vanished... there was a religion started up revolving around an odd woman in the previous 13th episode that was never resolved... Rossum seemed to just take the shit and not retaliate which was bizarre i thought they would anticipate what Echo was up to... Topher was kidnapped... SOMEHOW from the group that just didn't gell with the flow of the story and Paul's death was unexpected (And gave to it a brilliant performance from Eliza) but it didn't impact the main plot... seemed more like a filler than anything.

You could easily see Joss had heaps of things he wanted to do with the show but Fox cut him off and in the end we got a rushed ending... meh

Poor Topher.

Whiskey died in Epitaph 1.

I don't think a religion was started in Epitaph 1... I watched it before this ep to refresh my memory and there was a scene with a group of people being cult-y, but I didn't think it was that important?

Rossum didn't retaliate cause they didn't know what was coming! Up to this point, it seems that Echo et al had merely been engaging Rossum in hand-to-hand combat. Rossum didn't expect them to come up with a remote wipe that would up-wipe everyone.

I like the resolution for Paul. It beats him being unwiped and back to being brain dead. Echo uploading Paul onto herself (sounds dirty ay? haha) was sweet. I actually said "aww" out loud haha.

I really liked the ep. Well, the second half. The first half was boring as bat shit! haha.

i was a little underwhelmed by this ending.... echo's reaction to pauls death with sierra was pretty good... and topher was heartbreakingly awesome.... but overall very much...meh...

Yeah, tbh, I would've preferred an "unhappy" ending. It was a little too convenient with Topher saving the world... but meh.

There was only one real happy relationship, everyone else was alone or dead... which was unfortunate... I was waiting for Topher's assistant to come back... naw she was great.

now you say that, pabz, I think paul being dead was indeed the best option. I just hoped it would take a bit more to work up to instead of: come on.... poof, dead... :S

I think you're right; I think Joss had many, many plans, and thought it would survive longer than it did.... too bad, I would have loved to see what he would have thought of in later seasons....

People don't always die in an epic manner. I liked that Paul was shot and instantly dead. Made it more real. And for the second half of the ep I was wondering who would die next. Kinda like the last half an hour of Serenity...

They battled into the dollhouse and lost one... and i had it in the back of my head that there would be something else, another battle or soemthing... not 20 mins of talking from then on in... rather action less... i looked up at the timer on the player and it was at 36 mins while topher had the plan ready and it sunk in that nothing else was going to happen *Sigh*

I'm a little disturbed at how disturbed he is....

I enjoyed the ending of the finale. . . but agree that the first half was a little talkie-talk....

I really agree with you, Pablito. The first half I really couldn't get into but it kicked in the second half. Still...the ending was all a little bit too sweet for my liking.

Ah well, good bye Dollhouse! You were way too much of an uneven show for my liking but you had your excellent moments.

Dollhouse has a lot of potential left. Just needs a new home.
